Wrote a thing about my blonde hair, antisemitism and being told "you don't look Jewish" (and what the hell that means) for @BritishVogue.
vogue.co.uk
"Subconsciously, I had been running from something. The same something that made me long for a less Semitic-sounding surname or stopped me wearing my Star of David necklace when I was a teen"

Parents are often exhausted - mothers especially. For some reason, that’s socially acceptable. The view that, ‘Well, you made your bed by having kids, so lie in it’ (or more accurately, don’t…). So I wrote about deep, deep tiredness. And love.

It was really fascinating chatting to healthcare designer @Stiliyana_m about how she’s reimagining gynaecological procedures and why we need more innovation in women’s health.

It’s hard to be a woman and *not* have an opinion about the speculum. Maybe it’s painful and invasive or perhaps it’s uncomfortable but necessary... But what if something could replace the speculum completely? Wrote this for @StylistMagazine
stylist.co.uk
The design of the speculum hasn't changed much since the Roman era, Stiliyana Minkovska, founder of the start-up Matrix wants to change that.

Things you never get told about motherhood: going to the toilet alone when you have kids is surprisingly complicated. So here’s a thing I wrote about the time I accused my husband of having “poo privilege”.

And yes I know there is bigger shit going on in the world, but hey small things matter. And perhaps the wellbeing of mothers isn’t such a small thing anyway.

It’s the most wonderful time… except when it’s not. It’s a strange season: every feeling and moment gets hyped up, imbued with significance. And yet, nothing we see is the full story. Wrote about longing & comparison in this week’s newsletter @substack

“This is the time of year when the comparison trap feels most treacherous. Look on Instagram too long and you’ll feel yourself falling in, no matter how content you felt before you started scrolling.”

My 3 year old loves asking questions. One day he’ll wonder why people think things about him that aren’t true. Why a megastar with more Instagram followers than there are Jews in the world believes the Jewish people are the root cause of some global evil.

“Attachment formed deeply because this baby was longed for. The loss – however early – was a rupture right in my core.” Sharing this piece on missed miscarriage for #BabyLossAwarenessWeek in case it’s helpful for someone.

Wow @AldiUK - “trending” is a very odd way to describe a book about the Holocaust. I wouldn’t quite call it a relaxing holiday read either. Nor is it fiction. The Holocaust did ACTUALLY happen. Oskar Schindler was real. If you need a new copywriter, I’m happy to help.

With the news about the Queen, my three-year-old son has questions about death. I wrote about them - and my avoidance issues - here:
