@WAEE40 fall conference participants pilot tested the "Monitoring Aquatic Invasive Species Using Environmental DNA (eDNA)" project last month, collecting and filtering river samples and simulating laboratory analysis! This project is funded by @UWiscSeaGrant and @UWMadisonExt

😊 I don't cry often, but I was *almost* moved to tears by a former Baraboo High School student's letter recommending me for an "Influential Educator Award" for inspiring her to begin the journey to become a classroom teacher. ☺️

The @theraptorcenter workshop included the basics of first aid care like wrapping injured feet, clipping talons, "coping" (trimming overgrowth on beaks), and separating talons (we practiced on study mounts). What a great experience! #raptorambassadors

I was thrilled to participate in the Care & Management of Captive Raptors workshop put on by @theraptorcenter! I handled a kestrel, owl, red tailed hawk, and bald eagle, plus learned multiple new training techniques. It was a fantastic experience! #raptorambassadors
