Morning coffee ☕ thoughts: Our concept of time is an antiquated linear system that bound our perception of space, limiting exploration. If we unravel this cosmic enigma, we can break free from confinement to embrace a multi-dimensional existence beyond imagination! #writinglife

Charlie had his first day at school today with one-on-one support. While this support is temporary, we are committed to advocating for his rights under the Human Rights Code. Although I am not sure when this will happen, we must hold the provincial government accountable for how

If you don’t know… you should know. The sunshine list is out of date and unfair for everyday public servants like teachers.
@djy7770 @TinaYazdani The issue isn’t about wage, it’s about chronic underfunding and cuts to education! When the Sunshine List was created in 1996, the $100K salary today is akin to about $42K in the 90s. Everyone deserves fair wages and benefits. Today, teachers would need to make $200K to truly

My son can and should be in a classroom with his peers. He just needs 1:1 adult supervision so he can be monitored and safely helped with emergancy meds with seizures. He went to daycare full time, had friends and fully participated when he could with 1:1 support and did so
@TinaYazdani @AmyLEngland High needs children need specialized programs, not a classroom.

Hey Louella, I voted Liberal in my riding. Your question isn't about bravery; it's a tactic to shame Conservative voters. No one deserves to have services cut because they misunderstood their vote. We should be fighting for everyone, not shaming past choices. Let’s focus on

@TinaYazdani @AmyLEngland We had kids filtered in from another nearby school last year, Once this happened, my special needs son was no longer able to go to the ECE room & get help because “he wasn’t broken enough”. New students took his spot. He’s been at that school for 7 yrs & got bumped. No help now

Charlie deserves to go to school and be safe. But he needs 1:1 support. Thank you Tina for sharing a part of our son’s story. All kids deserve to be safe at school and have access to the accommodations they need #ontariohumanrights #onpoli #onted
Parents of children with disabilities tell us their kids are being denied a safe education: “the government has starved the system for so long we’re all begging for scraps,” says @AmyLEngland, whose 5-year-old son can’t attend school because of a lack of support staff.

It took 2 months in the bureaucratic maze last year, a doctor’s note and a clear accommodation ask for my medical fragile son to get an AC installed in his classroom last year. He has trouble regulating his temperature because of medication and has heat intolerance seizures.
“We cannot expect kids to ‘tough it out’ when smoke is frequent & heat waves are dangerous,” parents are calling on the Ford government to cool classrooms ahead of the new school year: “these are not expensive projects, it’s not building a tunnel or spa,” one parent tells me.
