Congratulations @BTCareerTechED Video Production Class of 2025! 🎥 That’s a wrap on the CTE Certificate Ceremony.

In April, our Audio Production team of Connor and Laila won 2nd place at the @skillsusa New York State contest in Syracuse. This is their prizewinning piece! They had to create a 1-minute piece about the benefits of CTE in high school as well as a 30 second ad for the @NYSFair.

The 3rd place film from Video Wars 2025 was created by Ariana Davis, a Johnson City senior. The judges noted her use of sound mixing, storytelling, and clean edits made her film stand out during screening. Great job, Ariana! @BTCareerTechED

The 2nd Place film from Video Wars 2025 was made by Ivelyse Guzman, a @UECSDTigers senior. The judges were blown away by her composition, editing, pacing, and use of the prompt (an unexpected communication). Well done, Ivelyse! @BTCareerTechED

The winning film for Video Wars 2025 was created by Merrick Nagle, a Video Production student from Susquehanna Valley. Judges appreciated Merrick’s storytelling, creativity, and use of the prompt (an unexpected communication). Congrats, Merrick!

Today is the day! @SkillsUSA New York State competition is underway and we’re currently watching the film entries for the Digital Cinema contest.

Thank you so much to the wonderful @chrisrankin for answering questions from @BTCareerTechED video production students about both acting (Percy Weasley in Harry Potter) and working as a production coordinator on various TV shows. What a fun opportunity!!

Today Video Production seniors took a trip to @sunybroome to tour the Communications department and hear from marketing professionals. The podcast studio, foley sound fx lab, and photo dark room were among the highlights!

We had a visit from Stephanie Krummenacker, owner of @mediabrush yesterday! She talked to our students about careers in the marketing industry. Thanks so much for stopping by!

And two more from the morning class! Ivelyse (@UECSDTigers) and Brenden (Vestal). These students had to pass both a written and practical portion of the test to become certified in Adobe Premiere Pro.
