Our hearts are broken. Last night we were informed our Jessica Starr took her life. Her Fox 2 family is deep shock and cannot believe such a wonderful, bright and intelligent woman is gone. Keep her family in your prayers in the coming days as we all deal with our grief.
I just want to say thank you with all my heart for the thousands of messages, phone calls, & emails over the past month. I’m happy to say that I will be back on the anchor desk on Friday. Over the past several months, I have been suffering from severe depression and anxiety.(1/2)
Hello my loves. A lot of you have been asking where I’ve been. Unfortunately, I have to take a few weeks off from anchoring
@FOX2News
Mornings to deal with some health issues. I want you to know I will miss you very much. Please keep me in your thoughts.
Thank you so much to all of those who’ve been reaching out.🙏🏽 My severe depression and anxiety have returned in full force. I’ve stepped away from the anchor desk temporarily to battle with all I have so I can come back and spend my mornings with you. Much love always…
I finally had to take a step back and address it so I could move forward. We never know what others are dealing with so always try to be kind and don’t ever be ashamed to admit that you may need a little help. Thanks to Fox 2 for allowing me to make my mental health a priority.
Thank you so much to all those who’ve written, called, visited me in hospital and sent goodies… but mostly for your prayers. Back surgery was a success. I’m resting comfortably with the amazing workers at

Happy Mother’s Day to my incredible momma Mary. Not only is she strikingly beautiful, she is a warrior. Please pray for her as she battles advancing dementia.
Surgery update 1: I underwent a refractive lens exchange on Monday. They decided just to do my left eye to make sure that everything was OK with that one first. I’m really glad they did too, because I am having a tough time seen out of that eye due to the cloudiness and swelling.
I have to admit, the recovery process after my back surgery has been much more difficult than anticipated. Making great progress thanks to Gwynne Waters at Team Rehab and all of your prayers. I’ve also been leaning a lot on my incredible friends. I’ll be back very soon! ❤️❤️

Red Wings legend and Hockey Hall of Famer, Ted Lindsay, has died at the age of 93. Lindsay, known as "Terrible Ted," scored more than 800 points during his incredible 17-year career and won the Stanley Cup four times.
Surgery update 2: left eye is doing much better today! Post op exam 2 went well. Monday surgery on the right eye is a go. Thank you so much to those who have prayed, messaged, replied and emailed. Your support means the world! 💛 I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and enjoy
Sending a huge thank you from the bottom of my heart to the medical team at

… especially nurses Alexis and Tony. I was jogging on the beach during a trip to see my dad in Florida, lost my footing on a rock and injured my back pretty badly. I was hoping to return
