Why so many crocus in #Amersham? The purple crocus is a symbol of the campaign by @AmershamRotary and Rotary throughout the world, to finally eradicate polio. So as well as adding splashes of colour it is hoped that the crocuses will raise awareness of the campaign. (2/2)

It is fabulous to see so many purple crocuses popping up around town. Starting back in 2010, in conjunction with Rotary in Amersham, and many school pupils we have planted over 120,000 crocuses on the verges throughout Amersham. (1/2)

It was great to have the @StonyDean School boys back on Tuesday, this time sowing wildflower seeds around the pond, clearing the path ready for wheelchair accessible matting, and spreading wood chips that they so kindly donated. #Amersham #Community
