The Green Party has officially voted to end the badger cull, passing a motion at its October conference to enshrine this stance in party policy. 🦡 And this Monday, Parliament will debate Protect the Wild’s petition to end the cull once and for all. The fight continues. ✊

Badgers drag their bedding in backwards & change it regularly. Their sleeping chambers contain bedding in the form of dried grass & leaves, which provide vital insulation during the winter. The word 'sett' (their home) is similar to 'cete' (a group of)! #Brocktober🦡#LoveBadgers

A happy ending for this feisty handful!!🦡❤️ Last Sunday afternoon whilst preparing for #NationalBadgerDay Huddersfield & District Badger Group received a call regarding a badger that had found itself trapped in between some heavy duty cycle storage pods at a local college.

#Brocktober Living underground, badgers have small eyes with a layer of reflective cells just behind the retina: the tapetum lucidum. Tapetums are common in nocturnal animals & responsible for the eyeshine seen in flash photos, or the reflection of a torch beam or car headlights!
