Nutrients are most potent from real food: Real foods are accompanied by many nonessential but beneficial nutrients, such as carotenoids, flavonoids, minerals, and antioxidants that aren't in most supplements. Current nutrition science cannot synthetically replicate most of these

We avoid ingredients that do not improve daily performance. There are numerous ingredients that are 'real food', yet recent research shows that they are not the best choices to improve our daily performance, due to e.g. digestion issues. Thus, we never use e.g. wheat or dairy
