The ultimate currency is not money or any other token of monetory value. It's TIME. Undisputed. Everything we do in life is to get more time and then to spend that in a way that gives us a feeling of JOY (joy is not be confused with pleasure. A night spent drinking is pleasure).

But the problem with Power/Status/Fame is that even if they help you buy time, the accompanying restlessness and anxiety is not worth the trade. Hence, seek something else to get money. A good skill (that you have a knack for) is a perfect substitute.

Here goes the list of most to least valuable currency -.1. Time.2. Knowing something worthy to do with time. 3. Money/monetory tokens (it buys you time and help spend it better).4. The most inferior currencies are Power/Status/Fame (unless it gets you money to then get you time).

As someone who is in power to give opportunities, see around this facade. Also, for people good at their work, to learn to speak clearly and strongly shouldn't be ignored.

Listening to Al Pacino's awkwardness in interviews, you can't guess the master he is of acting. Also, while your work speaks for you, glib people have found ways to smartly explain their shitty output as well.

Don't judge someone's skills at something by how well they talk about it. A lot of glib talkers are just that, glib and no more. A lot of unsure, confused people are excellent with their skills. Only the output highlights the skills.

Failure isn't negative. Anxiety and restlessness are negative. Insecurity is negative. Ego is negative. Sincere attempt is positive. Sense of completion is positive. Love of fate is positive. Needing what is enough is positive.

Why do you get HAPPIER even if you miss?.Because while you have learnt to stay happy all along, even if you miss, the sense of completion or attempt itself adds to the happiness. Also, since happiness is the default state, it bounds to get better in absence of negatives.

Why do you stay MISERABLE even after hitting the goal?. Because by then you have conditioned yourself to be so. Hitting the goal will give momentary satisfaction. Then the mind shall go back to its default state.

If you walk to your goal feeling miserable, irrespective of you hitting it or not, you stay MISERABLE. If you walk to it happy, irrespective of you hitting it or not, you get HAPPIER than before.

JOB is an agreement to give away a part of your life. SALARY is money you accept to give away that much of life. So, the VALUE OF YOUR LIFE can be calculated as what you would be earning in next 30-40 working years. Now decide if it's worth it or a change is needed.

Make sure you aren't spending life motivated by only STATUS (e.g. designation, power) OR TOKENS (e.g. money, possessions). If they come as a collateral to following your true knack, accept. If they are the only motivators, reflect.
