Fuji is majestic ๐คฉBig Fuji from Asinoko Hakone and Small but still impressive Fuji from Tama Golf Course in Tokyo. Winter is a great season in Tokyo. Clear blue sky and crisp air gives you a beautiful Fuji from afar.

Played golf with my friends from London days in splendid winter weather. Perfect with blue sky and colorful trees. 17 people joined the game and we all had a great time. Golf course is in deep Saitama a bit far but well worth a visit ๐

Fuji from Fufu Kawaguchiko. Luxury hotel with spa in the room. The selling point is Fuji. Convenient that you can walk around the hotel in relaxed wear provided by the hotel. Donโt need to wear black tie in resorts ๐

Pagoda and Fuji. A view from a shrine a top of 400 steps. The Pagoda commemorates 1000 victims of wars from this area. It was full of foreign tourists mostly from Asia.

Great view of Fuji from Hakone Imperial Park. There was an Imperial villa that was destroyed by the great Kanto earthquake. Itโs now open to public and has stunning view.

Had Oyster and burger for lunch at Middleburg. Friendly people and good food. A pretty small town. Itโs about one hour drive from DC. I have never been there while I was posted to the Embassy but now that Iโm retired I went and enjoyed. Happy retirement ๐

Cherries with water reflecting flowers. Blue sky and water are good matches for cherries.
