What an AMAZING community organization! Last week I was invited to give a training about autism to staff at the Maryville Crisis Nursery in Chicago – an abuse & neglect prevention program provides up to 72hrs of emergency childcare for families experiencing a crisis. 🤍

I had 47 students w/a variety of education majors including: agriculture, foreign language, earth and space, home economics, art, engineering, elementary, and gifted. It was a fun challenge to apply tiered behavior concepts to such an array of future classroom settings.

I know I've said it before, but I will say it again: I love teaching. My students this semester were so bright, engaging, and committed to becoming excellent educators who will use multi-tiered positive behavioral interventions and supports. So proud 🩷 1/2

When you're a new mom and a behavior analyst 🤓 Another example and reminder of how ABA isn't just for autism. #behaviortwitter (do we still use "twitter" in hashtags?) Let's try #behaviorx just in case.

Just nerded out to my husband about the behavioral principles that led to my finding non-alcoholic beer reinforcing. Idk if he appreciated the analysis, but #behaviortwitter might find it fun. If the flavor of beer was once aversive, but now I drink NA beer, what happened?
