What's funny is JK *does* have quite a few flaws in his game. Someone who was lower on him would have plenty to say by focusing on them. But for some reason they prefer to make up flaws that don't exist.

His feel for the game is substantially higher than most give him credit for. Like you said, anyone who watches without a negative bias can see that. They want you to believe he gets by entirely on athleticism. That's laughable.

It would be sad if Horford's order of preference were:. 1. Denver.2. Retirement.3. Warriors.

I'm cool with it, but fans would need to temper expectations. At this stage, I don't think there's a huge difference between Beal and Malik Monk. In fact, Monk's the better playmaker. But the team desperately needs players who can get buckets. Beal can do that.

Brittney Sykes is by far the most glaring omission, as the best player on a team represented by two all-stars.

Not necessarily. He's almost 40 but still capable. It's reasonable for him to take longer than like 3 days to decide if he wants to never play basketball ever again.

Not a strong case. Allisha Gray has pretty clearly been the best. But Paige is in the conversation for second.

Allowing it to be framed as "all those teams ever wanted for their star or fringe star player was JK, and the Warriors balked" is pretty dishonest.

They could still get somebody of that caliber if they're willing to give up what they would have been required to give up all along: multiple first round picks, multiple other young players. This is not a JK issue.

This is laughably irresponsible reporting.

None of these "aspirational figures" who ended up becoming permanent starters as rookies were as good when they were rookies as JK was last season, after he finally secured a more consistent role.

Even if it's true that some of these players are better than JK, what's also true is they did less to earn their roles than JK has done. They want JK to accept a small role and earn more, but compare him to cases where players got more playing time despite being even less proven.

Jalen Williams played 22 games before being named a permanent starter. He was a minus-108 in those games, but Daigneault saw enough to not only start him, but to never not start him again. If Kerr provided this type of commitment, we wouldn't even be talking sign and trades.
