My daily commute usually begins with the TTC which runs across Toronto #July1st

#CanadaDay is the national day of Canada and is celebrated on July 1st every year - most people celebrate it with their family and there's usually a parade and lots of fireworks, so I'm on a mission to find the BIGGEST and BEST display 🎆

#HappyCanadaDay everyone! I am Rachel and I'm this week's Saltire Takeover! I'm currently in week 4 of my internship at @BOATROCKER in Toronto, Canada. Most people are off work today 🇨🇦 So I'm going to share some pic highlights and some of celebrations in Toronto !

Our Saltire Fellows spent today learning about #DesignThinking with Rod Mountain at the V&A, followed by learning about Saltire Fellow alumnus @Kirsty1Thomson's story and the brilliant things her team does at @thecircledundee @weareACK. Thank you both for fantastic sessions.

Fantastic visit to @DynamicAction today. Thanks @surfsquire for telling us about your journey so far.

Sandals and flip flops made out of recycled tyres. @Indosole have an awesome product and really enjoyed hearing about their story from the founder, Kyle Parsons.

At @Cisco we learned about how a public company manage their finances.

Today we visited @Google's campus. An amazing place, from G-bikes to a slide inside one building. Some great learnings about how open an organisation it is.

Fantastic tour around @Jabil Blue Sky Innovation Centre. Learning about how they can assist customers from idea to manufacture of their products. A lot of exciting technology on show.

Huge thanks to Mark Sobey at @CoherentInc for telling us about the vast and exciting uses of laser technologies. Really interesting to get an insight into his own business philosophies.
