Voice actors, based on some of the casting calls I have been seeing lately, I would like to share a quick list of green and red flags to help people out. Red Flags: 🔴A casting director requiring you to join a Discord server just to be considered for a role. 🔴 Vague language

Please don't do this. Voice actors really dislike having to join servers to learn about + audition for projects. Please make a Google Doc with all the info you can share anywhere. If it's 'too much work', then vas will assume you're lazy and won't audition because of that.
Why are we still creating Discord servers for auditions...? It's so irritating and all of the random pings are such a nuisance. 😒

If you have the resources and passion just go ahead and start your project! It doesn't need to have "pilot" slapped on it and have major attention. Many of us have a story to tell and now is a better time than ever to make it happen, start to finish!

Reminder, auditions aren’t content. If you can’t cast without belittling people, you’re not ready to run a project.
This is a perfect example of how NOT to do a casting call. Public reactions to auditions should be disclosed ahead of time. They should be treated with more respect than listening to a few seconds and making fun of people. This is so unprofessional and mean spirited.
