Fantastic work this week by our ICU team @NorthMcrGH_NHS ...it takes a bit of planning & a lot of effort to take our ventilated pts outside...but seeing them in the garden, eating ice pops or enjoying a visit from their dog was amazing! 🙌👏

Lovely to see the wonderful Michael & Iris yesterday...its 5 years since Michael was a patient with us, but they continue to provide us with delicious cakes on a regular basis 😋

It's 32 years today since I started work on ICU @NorthMcrGH_NHS I've been very lucky to work with some fabulous colleagues over the yrs in my various roles: staff nurse, sister, PBE, Outreach & advanced practitioner (20 years!). Still enjoy what I do but partial retirement is 👌

We are very lucky on ICU @NorthMcrGH_NHS to have generous, regular cake suppliers in the lovely Michael & Iris! Always a pleasure to see such a lovely couple and the cakes are always fantastic 😀

It's 5 yrs today since I started our NMGH ICU garden project-the garden has now been open for 2 yrs & we use it whenever we can. Quote from an ex-pt in follow-up clinic today "the garden was a life saver..it kept me going & the smell of lavender was amazing 🤩 @landladyjan

It's 2 years today since we opened our ICU garden @NorthMcrGH_NHS..thanks to everyone who helped to make it possible especially @landladyjan Pts, staff & relatives love it - before & after pictures + our ex-patient Victor who was the inspiration for the whole thing 🌳🌷🌻
