The BREC Commission approved a contract with Allied Works Architecture for architectural services for a new contemporary arts center at City-Brooks Community Park which will house the Baton Rouge Gallery. All expenses will be reimbursed through the LA Department of the Treasury.

Today, our ARCH 280 group went to visit Wieden + Kennedy, designed by Allied Works Architecture. Once an abandoned warehouse, it is now a perforated box filled with a gridwork of heavy timber and quartered by cruciform masonry walls.
