Science Club had some crafty rafting fun today! We designed and built rafts using just a single sheet of A4 paper, then put them to the test to see which could hold the most glass stones.👏 A huge well done to Harry, whose raft held an incredible 95 stones before finally sinking!

Science club turned their hands to some engineering today with the Egg Drop Challenge. They had limited materials to protect their egg on its descent. There were some great ideas, sadly no eggs survived the fall! 🥚 #AlleynCourtScience #STEM

Today in Science Club, we explored the fascinating world of sound! From feeling the vibrations of tuning forks & elastic bands to discovering how our own vocal cords work, it was all about hands-on learning. We even experimented with how vibrations interact with water!

Science Club took full advantage of this gorgeous spring day with a fun session of pond dipping! Everyone was amazed by the vibrant life beneath the serene surface. As a bonus, we even spotted our resident water vole! 🌿🐾 #SpringAdventures #PondDipping #AlleynCourtScience

Quizzing success continues at AC! Last week two teams competed in the heats of the science quiz, 80 teams took part in total and the questions were tough. We are proud to announce that one of our teams came third place, securing a semifinal spot! Well done to all our quizzers ⭐️

Eco club have been sorting out the donated Christmas jumpers ready for our preloved Christmas Jumper Shop this week. Shop open in the lab before school, from 8am, or after school, until 4pm Tuesday to Thursday. All money raised will go to @savechildrenuk #AlleynCourtEco #preloved
