Amazing work and reactivity from our @setiinstitute @unistellar citizen network of astronomers. We detected the interstellar comet this weekend with our mighty small telescopes. Some are obvious, others are very close to a bright star, But 3I/Atlas is here. Bravo A. Graykowski

🚀 A single 12h dip in TESS data hinted at a new exoplanet. So we rallied the SETI & Unistellar Network worldwide: 24 observers, 230 hours of data, near-continuous coverage. Citizen science confirmed a planet light-years away. Teamwork makes the cosmos work. 🌌.

Big news! A third interstellar object may have been discovered. Currently V=17-19 (elongated object???) from a few observations, and doesn't show any activity yet. Definitely something to follow up with our.network of telescopes @Unistellar, @Skymapperspace .and @setiinstitute.
There's a new interstellar comet in the neighborhood! . Known as 3I/ATLAS, this comet poses no threat to Earth – but it does provide a rare opportunity to study an object that originated outside of our solar system:
