I wish McNeil well. His departure doesn’t sting as much as the others but he was a very good Met who had a special season. He was a handful just to watch, can’t imagine what he was like in the clubhouse.

The New York Mets will receive a rookie-ball arm in the deal that sends Jeff McNeil to the A's, sources tell ESPN. The Mets also will be sending cash to help cover McNeil's $15.75 million salary, plus the $2 million buyout on a club option for next year.

They are back to being much better than us again.
Between Robert Suarez and Raisel Iglesias, Atlanta now has two of the five relievers with the most saves over the last two seasons. With a healthy Chris Sale, Spencer Schwellenbach and Spencer Strider, plus a full season of Hurston Waldrep, their pitching could take a huge leap.

Alonso will basically be the same age as Semien is now when his 5-year contract is up. We just traded for Semien. So Semien can be productive in his age 35 season but Pete can’t. Got it.
