"Christmas in a heatwave" Grassington, set dressed as darrowby, was the set for the series 4 Christmas special yesterday. With a clear blue sky and 24c temperatures it was an interesting juxtaposition between the cast in winter gear and the public & crew in quite the opposite.

The Yorkshire Dales village of Arncliffe joins Grassington (8 miles away) in being used to portray the fictional village of Darrowby in All Creatures Great & Small. The village has a very different look and feel to Grassington and hosts the scenes that require a more rural look.

“Laughter On Set” The mystery new character for series 4 of All Creatures Great & Small was filming again yesterday (May 2nd 2023) in Arncliffe at the location used for the rear yard of Skeldale House. Both cast a crew seemed in high spirits as the sun shone.
