Yes and am a bit mystified by confirmation culture in general. It’s polite to confirm, but if you make plans with someone, the default rule should be plans are on unless someone affirmatively cancels.
Ladies: if you say yes to a date, you’ve agreed to go on the date. Playing games like “he needs to confirm or it doesn’t count!!!” because TikTok told you to is a really dumb way to waste your time. Be picky about things that matter, but quit making up rules to be upset about

1. This is sort of correct but sort of misunderstands the incentives at play. Moderate, incremental libertarians are usually better off quietly throwing with whichever political coalition they're closest to and downplaying any disagreements with it.
A problem of libertarianism is that it tends to attract a type of person who, rather than find the imperfect solutions to the hard, messy problems that are most immediate, fixates on the abstract problems three or four rings out that political realities dictate cannot be.
