I welcome this @JasonClareMP, but the unwillingness of uni governing bodies and senior officials to do the right thing is proven. A major shift is needed and it starts with dismantling the assumption that people at the top will do the right thing.

This is the third parliamentary inquiry into uni governance - federal, NSW, now Victoria. NTEU members have exposed the damning evidence: $280m+ wage theft, outrageous exec pay, toxic cultures, corporate-stacked boards. We're winning government action.

A huge win for @NTEUnion members who stood up & spoke about their experiences without fear to ensure the truth was heard. 🙏@AlisonBarnes25 & @NTEUnion for your relentless work on keeping poor governance in the spotlight. ✊❤️
This damning report is really worth reading and the language of the authors’ criticism of uni executives and their failure to acknowledge the governance crisis is uncharacteristically strong.
