These false activations waste emergency resources, cause property damage, and put lives at risk by delaying response to real emergencies. ✅ See suspicious activity? Call 911 immediately. ✅ Find damaged fire safety equipment? Notify property management and AFD.

Safety reminder: Misusing fire extinguishers or tampering with fire protection systems is not only dangerous, but also a crime. Offenders may face up to 1 year in jail and/or a $2,500 fine per incident.

Join us and the American Red Cross for Sound the Alarm on Saturday, July 12. Volunteers will install free smoke alarms and share fire safety tips in North Old Town. No experience needed. Training, food, and fun provided! Please remember to dress appropriately for the weather!
