For comparison: you could watch four QF matches at the CH Koblenz for 20โฌ. Seriously, no intended shade, who does believe that charging 50โฌ (for bad seats) for Hanfmann vs. Bueno & Struff vs. Varillas is considered fair? This is a CH line up as well...

Daily reminder that Tennis still a rich sport... Cheapst ticket for Davis Cup Qualifiers today costs 51โฌ (for students!). Even wheelchair area is charged 60โฌ+. Reminder: just two matches & we got Hanfmann & Struff as overwhelming favs. Very likely it won't get competitive.

The last time I was in Koblenz, the Challenger GOAT was still around. Being back here feels bittersweet. I keep thinking about the moments I shared with Damian in this very place. There wonโt be a Challenger event in the years ahead where he wonโt be on my mind. ๐ค๐

At 5-4, Sabalenka finally started stepping inside the court to return Rybakina's 2nd serve. What happened? Break to 0.
On all five break points, Rybakina went for the out-wide. She isn't doing any special tactic out there. Her intentions are really clear. Sabalenka just can't counter these serves, and once it matters, she fears stepping in & taking the ball early = Rybakina getting an easy +1.

These flat out-wide first serves are the best way to go against Aryna. Awkward timing, she can't put pressure on you from the first return. Mostly gets way shorter on backhand return & rarely blocks. Taking away her biggest strength (dictacting) makes her overthink a lot.

17 y/o ๐ฆ๐น Lilli Tagger wins her biggest title so far by beating Harriet Dart 6-4, 6-2 in the final of the ITF W100k in Fujairah! She's officially the highest ranked u18 player in the world, now ranked at a new career-high of #128. ... Thiem's one-handed ๐ฆ๐น legacy lives on! ๐ฅ

After all these straight-set beatdowns on both tours since R3, todayโs semi-final feels like a well-earned reward for the Aussie crowd. What a session! ๐ฅ #AusOpen

Carlos Alcaraz now holds a 15-1 record in five-setters. Truly unbelievable. 12 in a row! ๐คฏ His last loss? Four years ago, also at the #AusOpen (January 2022) vs. Matteo Berrettini. ๐ฅ

Mirra Andreeva's forehand is becoming worse every season. Her fh grip is just really flawed. Even more extreme than Gauff or Swiatek. Will never be able to dominate on that wing if she doesn't change it in the future. Going towards a more loopy fh would make sense (like Gauff).
