In January 2022, tennis youtuber 🇬🇧 Felix Mischker has set a special goal: winning one ATP singles ranking point. After cruising through qualifying at the m25 in Monastir, Mischker eventually beat Fondriest 7-5, 6-4 in the 1st round today to get his first singles point! 🔥✅️

A former top 10 tennis player (not long ago) going viral for being a sad unknown fan at a world cup match is just the perfect representation of how irrelevant and badly promoted tennis is outside of our bubble. Perfect reality check. Same happened with Berrettini last year.

I'm currently rewatching that legendary Australian Open 2007 run from Serena when she was considered "done" by experts such as Pat Cash. She ended up winning the trophy, beating #1 seed Sharapova 6-1, 6-2 in the final. Look at these CONSECUTIVE return winners on 1st serves...

Sorry to say that, but pro tennis has never felt more unimpressive than watching some of these players on grass. Unable to hit volleys, lots of players fail to implement/hit a decent slice (little exemptions, e.g. Musetti). Zero variation on their serves... Very one-dimensional.
