Skeleton shrimp Caprella septentrionalis is sticking out of a shaggy seaweed. How it doesn’t get tangled with all its antennas and claws is beyond my understanding.

Polymastia arctica sponge features spine‑like projections (although they’re quite soft) that increase filtration surface area. Another function of these papillae is asexual reproduction: buds form at the tips of the papillae, detach, and give rise to new individuals.

Clione limacina, aka Sea Angel, is a small pteropod mollusk inhabiting northern seas. A creepy predatory creature with six huge hunting tentacles inside its head.

SpaceX new booster! Alitta virens polychaete discharging sperm at full speed while the eggs (little dots in the picture) are already floating all around in the vast space of the White sea.

Alitta virens polychaetes flying around. This is their breeding behaviour: for a couple of days a year they float en masse from the bottom to the surface to spawn and release their sexual products into the water. The fertilisation is external, so this is how system works.

Lucernaria sainthilarei, lovely little stalked jellyfish. They live on muddy parts of the seafloor, clinging to boulders and small rocks. Usually these are places with gentle currents and depths greater than 15-20 meters.

Cyanea capillata (aka Lion's mane), one of the most beautiful jellyfish in the Arctic. The lion's mane of tentacles have gone a little bald, but the jellyfish still looks amazing.
