Kratos literally went from “that one overrated musclehead” to my favourite video game character thanks to the Norse duology. There’s something much more human and connectable about a man coming to terms with his sins.
Also… “soft”. Dude STILL rips the jaws off werewolves.

This whole Willy Wonka Experience debacle is a huge reason why most actors and writers are so against generative AI replacing us, even for something as simple as NPC dialogue. The technology just isn’t good enough to write scripts that make sense. It’s functional gibberish.
The AI-generated "script" actors were given for the Glasgow Wonka event is.. something. Aside from featuring staging and effects that would be impressive for a moderately-sized West End spectacular, its stage directions also dictate precisely how delighted the audience will be.

I recorded Digital Circus with an AT2020 XLR mic in my closet. Everyone else did their parts from home with their own mics.
Talented actors, directors, and engineers can make massively-popular media from ANYWHERE now.
As far as I'm concerned, after covid we can't put this genie back in the bottle. Remote recording for big projects is one hundred percent doable and allows for diverse talent to share their voices without having to move to some of the most unaffordable parts of the country
