The western edge of Washington Park Lake, circa 1890. The bridge in the background, would've only been about 15-years-old at the time this was taken. Built in 1875, it's now the oldest and only remain original structure in the park. #Albany

The 1913 Flood, is widely believed to be Albany's worst. The Hudson River water level rose 29.5 inches on the 28th and 29th of March. The creation of the North Country's Stillwater Reservoir in 1925 (and later the Sacandaga Lake) has mostly kept large #Albany floods in the past.

Today in 1913, #Albany is flooded. For years flooding meant 'Springtime in Albany' but 115-years-ago it was particularly bad. This shot, while not marked with a location, is most likely from the Pastures neighborhood or a block of Broadway between Pine St and Maiden Lane.
