His depiction here is one of the reasons I like to depict him on the larger side for a crossover fan project. It helps solidify him as the “powerhouse” of the group, and scaling demons to him makes them more imposing.

Getter Robo often touches on the struggle to retain our humanity in situations that can turn us into monsters. It’s the bonds between us that give us strength, not the forces trying to make us their vessels. We have control of our destiny, and the choice to be good.
Getter robo is about the never ending battle humanity takes against its own struggle of power. Its, at its very core, anti imperialistic and anti fascist. To come to this conclusion means you never actually read and comprehended what the story tells. Ishikawa is forever missed.

When I was younger I used to like Skystar (Skyfire/jetfirexStarscream), but after reading the Nagatoro manga I just can’t unsee a resemblance that kinda disgusts me (that bishoujo doll also kinda looks like her imo😅). So…oh well then😐.
