Theory: GMS repeated the Weaver experiment, using her own silk this time, she didn't evolve the bug, but took the bug as a core to weave Phantom Phantom had rebellious behaviours so GMS made Lace out of ONLY her own silk, thinking that using bug was the source of that rebellion.

It's really funny to me that people think Lace would let hornet give her silk to keep living if she hated her Like. Her relationship with the last person who tried to abuse her over the fact that she is silk dependent ended with "I'LL KILL YOU AND THEN MYSELF" SHE'D DO IT AGAIN
