I'll always remember that "liberal" Berkeley made it illegal to sleep in your car. Hating the homeless has bipartisan support.
In California, lawmakers recently debated a bill that would let community college students sleep overnight in campus parking lots legally. Today in Invisible People’s Homelessness News: Hosted by Annalea Fiachi. For more, visit: https://t.co/0acYI562Y8 or sign up for our

TLDR; The PSF has made the decision to put our community and our shared diversity, equity, and inclusion values ahead of seeking $1.5M in new revenue. Please read and share. https://t.co/laZQCbHWJU 🧵 https://t.co/laZQCbHWJU

I am very glad the #Python Software Foundation is sticking to their mission statement. I'm also bummed that the US government's war on diversity forced the PSF needed to turn down $1,500,000 of funding. Imagine if PyLadies & Black Python Devs couldn't have booths at #PyConUS...

I'm using AI to do a task that I think AI could do. My expectations were low but it still disappoints me. Tell me I just need to improve my prompt or try a different model if you want me to block you.

I've finished a presentable version of ButtonPad, but simple GUI framework for Python desktop apps. Built on tkinter so it has no major dependencies, it lets you make a grid of buttons/labels/images/text boxes (like a streamdeck or drum machine). https://t.co/OyDrFPC2Uu

Hey experienced software dev folks: do you use any low-code/no-code tools for your job, hobbies, or work? Either for polished products or rough in-house tools?

Curl project maintainers have had enough of AI slop "contributions": "We still have not seen a single valid security report done with AI help." "We are effectively being DDoSed. If we could, we would charge them for this waste of our time." https://t.co/aWWQoEbt9g

That's it. I've had it. I'm putting my foot down on this craziness. 1. Every reporter submitting security reports on #Hackerone for #curl now needs to answer this question: "Did you use an AI to find...

If you didn't know who Charlie Kirk was or are still wondering how much of an unambiguously hateful bigot he was, Rebecca Watson has a video where you can see Charlie telling you himself, with full context.

I forgot to snap a photo while I was donating platelets today, but here's a bandaged arm. You can donate platelets every two weeks. You can find a donor center near you to make an appointment, you don't need to wait for a donor drive.

There are several things that make you eligible for a COVID booster without a doctor's note: over 65, current/former smoker, mood disorder (depression, etc), obesity, and more. Insurance covers the full cost. Don't let an antivaxx pharmacist turn you away.
