1/ Exactly 9 years ago, on 16 November 2014, an Israeli sniper shot Attiya Nabaheen in the neck, leaving him permanently paralyzed. It was his 15th birthday.
Attiya would have turned 24 today, but he was killed by an Israeli attack on 8 October 2023 along with 12 family members.
74 Palestinian elders who survived the 1948 Nakba were killed in the ongoing Nakba in 2023.
74 elders whom Israel has denied the right to return to their ancestral homes and lands.
74 elders who have lived almost their entire lives under Israel's oppression and apartheid.
This visual is a tribute to the first
#Nakba
survivors who are no longer with us. May their souls rest in power.
*This visual is based on those whose names and ages have been released so far by the Gaza Ministry of Health.
🚨 BREAKING: the Gaza Energy Authority announced that it runned out of fuel. Gaza's sole power plant will stop working at 2pm local time. Soon all services vital for the survival of the population, including hospitals, will no longer function.
We won't publish our daily report today.
Most of our staff are displaced from their homes and have no power or internet.
It has become too dangerous for field workers to move around.
But we won't be silenced: the world needs to know the atrocities Israel is committing in
#Gaza
This week marks 16 years of the illegal closure of
#Gaza
, through which Israel traps 2+ million Palestinians in a small strip of land that separates them from the rest of the Palestinian people and isolates them from the outside world.
But let's put it into the right context. ⬇️
None of these Palestinian children has known a single day of freedom.
Their lives were marked by Israel's closure, military occupation and apartheid.
Humanity has failed each and every one of them.
3,195 children killed in
#Gaza
in just three weeks has surpassed the annual number of children killed across the world's conflict zones since 2019. We are calling for an immediate ceasefire.
🚨 Early reports indicate a new massacre of Palestinians in
#Gaza
's Jabaliya refugee camp.
Jabaliya is the largest refugee camp in Palestine.
It was established in 1948 to house some 35,000 Palestinians expelled from Yaffa and other villages in southern Palestine.
UN experts are appalled by reported sexual assaults and rapes by the Israel army, as well as the enforced disappearance of Palestinian women and girls in
#Gaza
.
This mirrors testimonies gathered by Al Mezan from female detainees in Gaza.
🚨URGENT: We are receiving news that the trucks with humanitarian aid that were supposed to enter Gaza through Rafah are turning back. This is collective punishment of an unprecedented scale, which cannot be justified either legally or morally.
Update: Civil defense teams have discovered 73 more bodies in the mass grave at Nasser Medical Complex, now totaling 283. Women and the elderly were among those found, with some bound and stripped of clothing. Only 42 bodies have been identified so far.
As of yesterday, the Palestinian Civil Defense Administration recovered 210 bodies from a mass grave at Nasser Medical Complex, which was brutally besieged in February by Israeli forces. At least 2,000 Palestinians remain missing under rubble in the Khan Younis Governorate alone.
🚨BREAKING: The Israeli government has announced that it will implement a total closure of
#Gaza
, which means no food, fuel, or electricity for the civilian population. This is a collective punishment against two million Palestinians and a war crime of unprecedented dimensions.

Khan Younis's historic Barquq Fort, standing since 1387, lies in ruinous conditions due to Israel's genocidal military campaign.
Israel's deliberate destruction of Palestinian cultural heritage across

🧵4 months into Israel's genocide in

People are walking—including pregnant women, elderly, children, injured. The walk from Jabaliya to Rafah is almost 9hrs.
Yesterday, Israel targeted Palestinians evactuating south, killing 70.
Today, the ICJ acknowledged the plausibility of Israel committing genocide in
#Gaza
+ the risk of irreparable harm to Palestinians.
Legally-binding provisional measures have been issued.
An immediate & unconditional ceasefire is the only way to comply with the ICJ's directive.
One year ago today, Israel launched one of the deadliest attacks of the entire May 2021 offensive 🧵⬇️
On 16 May 2021, Israeli warplanes launched ~50 missiles at residential buildings and paved roads in
#GazaCity
, killing 46 Palestinians.
According to our preliminary information, Israel bombed two water reservoirs in north Gaza and Rafah districts in recent days.
For the past 4 weeks, Israel has also cut off water supplies to
#Gaza
.
All this indicates a clear intent to dehydrate Gaza's over 2 million civilians.
Israel's deliberate destruction of Palestinian cultural heritage in
#Gaza
is not only a war crime, but a key component of the crime of genocide: the systematic and calculated obliteration of art and cultural heritage is an assault on the essence of a people.
Since 7 October 2023, Israel has killed at least 1,030 Palestinian children in
#Gaza
.
One. Thousand. Thirty. Children.
None of whom have known life outside of Israel's closure, military occupation, and apartheid.
The world has failed each and every one of them.
Today the number of Palestinians killed in Israel's vengeful war on
#Gaza
has exceeded 10,000.
Over 4,000 of those killed are children.
Thousands are trapped under the rubbles—most likely dead.
If this is not enough to call for a ceasefire, then what is?
#CeasefireNOW
Today marks 15 years since 'Operation Cast Lead', the first major Israeli military offensive against

❌Israeli authorities have revoked more than 700 travel permits already issued to Palestinian Christians from Gaza, effectively banning them from celebrating their religious rites at holy sites in the West Bank during the Orthodox Easter holiday.
The pattern emerging by the testimonies we gathered is clear: Israeli raids on Gaza hospitals yield unspeakable atrocities—incl. summary executions & abductions of medical staff. The international community's failure to prevent another raid on Al-Shifa Hospital is unconscionable
🚨 Israel called on all residents of North Gaza and Gaza Districts to evacuate to Wadi Gaza. One million Palestinians.

End/ Attiya's life and tragic killing serve as a testament to the prolonged brutality and grave human rights violations perpetrated by Israel against the Palestinian people in Gaza.
Israel employs telecom shutdowns as a weapon of war, hindering ambulances from reaching injured civilians and leaving hundreds trapped under rubble.

It is raining in
