Loganimasi 79 Huge score. Differential pick based on fixture, most threatening player for Drua. Loads of linebreak assists & a 50:22. 50:22 worth 10 points each. Highest scoring back 3 player. ✅

Toole 47. Slightly more than his average last year. Always good for a linebreak, could have had a 2nd. Good conditions in Perth so expected him to go well. Always gets 80’. Can have some very low scores too but a ceiling pick with high ownership ✅

Back 3: Reece 14 Just didn’t get the ball enough. Like Reihana I fully went into Saders need ing to runaway with this one, I needed to ball to get down both wings multiple times & him get loads of shots at goal. Just too many eggs in one basket. ❌

Fainga’anuku 18©️(36) I back the pick but not the captain choice. Should have played safe with someone I knew was reliable from last year. But oop, knew he’d play 80’ cos can cover multiple positions in good conditions. He’ll come good this season, just not this week. ❌

Midfield: Tavatavanawai 35 A little behind his average from last year but against Saders 35 is good. He is just always busy. Tackles turnovers defenders beaten. Not a ceiling pick but the best floor pick. Will likely stay in my team this season. ✅

Reihana 9 Picked based on ownership & highest average of available 10s from last year. However, Kamara was on bench so was mins risk, going got 50’ & meant I was heavily needing a Saders walkover to get points this week. Should have avoided due to mins risk for week 1 ❌

Half backs: Hastie 15 Not really bothered here with no Roigard. 2nd choice was Fakatava 18 so nothing really lost. Hotham did well but didn’t consider. Hastie looked busy & expect a big game or two from him but once Roigard is back he’s in my team for foreseeable ❌

Canakaivata 33 Drua biggest ball carrier at home v Moana, expected big things. 33 decent just thought he could get 60+. Fai’ilagi ended up with the hattrick. I’d only take in home games personally ✅

Tizzano 35 Ownership & try record made him essential round 1. 35 is still a good score, late try helped. He always plays 80’ which is a bonus, low on tackles due to Force keeping ball for long periods of the game. Not sure he’s essential at his price going forward. ✅

Back row: Cale 113 Originally had Lio-Willie here so a 100 point swing. Took him based purely as a ceiling pick, rest of team safe so wanted a proper differential at only 12% He scored in nearly every points metric available Locked in for next round ✅✅

Vaa’i 51 Ngl took him on pure ownership. 60+% was too high to ignore. Did not expect him to hit 51 this week, try helped but also got turnovers & lineout steal on top of basic work. Don’t think he’s essential at his price but can pull out big scores. ✅

2nd row: Philip 24 Cheaper at 3.5m. Is the Tahs captain so expected 80’ which he got. Know he’d take a decent number of lineouts & just playing 80’ could accumulate tackles & extra things which he did ✅

Ross 12 2nd prop I struggled with so picked Ross for couple reasons. Cheap at 2.5m. Played for a area scrum that went well last year. Thought he’d play 60’ either way Blake on bench. He got replaced at 50’ & didn’t get many scrum points. Not a disaster but not a pass ❌

Taukei’aho 49 Averaged 30.8ppg last year despite starting half those games on the bench, & for a cheaper price felt good value. Also chiefs were down to 4th choice hooker on bench so expected good mins. He also got a try. ✅
