Trump wanted to negotiate another orchestrated exchange of tit-for-tat strikes as Iran permitted in June 2025 (B-52 strikes on evacuated nuclear facilities in exchange for Iranian airstrikes on evacuated Al Udeid Airbase). In June Trump declared victory and 'stopped the war'.

Iran has effectively closed its lower airspace. I'd rephrase this more precisely and professionally: Iran has imposed a temporary restriction on its lower airspace, effectively closing it to most civil aviation operations. This is typically done via a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen)

Considering the colours the Jordanian leadership has shown in the Gaza genocide, it was as hypocritical and self-indicting of him to say it then, as it is for Carney to say it now.
I used to think « ah they say it’s about rooting out corruption but it’s actually Xi consolidating power » etc etc… But it turns out China is a lot less corrupt now so… What’s the Occam’s razor answer here?
