If people were really honest, they’d admit that they don’t desire to put forth the necessary effort required to build and maintain a healthy connection but they’d still like to stay connected to you to reap the benefits that come along with knowing someone like you.

@pallnandi It’s easy to mirror people’s disrespect. But it takes real power to stay kind when they don’t deserve it. Kindness is not a transaction. It’s a discipline. It’s about self-respect, not people-pleasing. I stay kind because I refuse to let their low standards pull me down.

@pallnandi Kindness only works if it’s backed by strength. Stay grounded and protect your energy. If your kindness drains you or enables bad behavior, it’s no longer kindness. It’s self-sabotage.
