@AuSickle We are increasing sickle cell awareness forums in our different communities to encourage having sickle cell discussions to break the barriers and misconceptions. ‼️We are introducing the Sickle Cell Pharma Forum to be held on 26th Sep 24 at Parliament House in Canberra.

@AuSickle We are in the process of creating awareness packs with information to parents and families when they are newly diagnosed. The mental well-being of our members is paramount, too. ‼️Our organisation has also introduced awareness programs like Ladies Night Out, an event for women.

@AuSickle ‼️Before this though, our work is now focused on education and awareness in our different communities, healthcare professionals, policymakers pharmaceutical companies what it means for families to know the status of their baby once screened at birth. ##WorldSickleCellDay

The reason is because they can't open an account. Spent a good 15 minutes, they served one customer Insisted I had to come back to see the other person. I used to work at @Westpac and I knew how to open accounts even if I was a bank teller. Unacceptable customer service ‼️‼️
