We are a resource reaching out to writing communities across the globe. We want to unite writers around a shared love of writing.
Joined July 2020
We celebrate that writing is a place where people of different backgrounds can come together around a common love for self expression through composition. But we are watching our writing communities crumble under the divisive ideology of critical theory/identity politics.

Libertarians that don't acknowledge that everyone who wants to move here is most likely not libertarian are self-defeating when they are pro-open borders.
Intellectually shallow libertarians will dismiss all concerns about radical/fundamentalist Muslim migration in large numbers. It is entirely reasonable to be concerned about Shariah Law and the erosion of American social norms. Dogs are a small part of it. Cousin marriage and

George f*cking Washington never had children. Neither did James Madison. These two were some of the best men who laid the foundation for our amazing nation.

FFS, Jonathan Swift never had kids, but he wrote A Modest Proposal from a place of caring for children that were not his own. We still read it today. 3 signers of the Declaration of Independence never had children. Nightingale, Newton, Nobel, and da Vinci never had kids.

I actually do have a stake in the future. I realize that every time I read work from authors that have been dead for hundreds of years.

"Oh, don't worry. We may just have the AI overlord look at everything you've done in the platform and guess your age instead." Yeah, that's not any better, guys.
We’ve seen some questions about our age assurance update and we want to share more clarity. We know how important these changes are to our community. Here’s what we want you to know: ‣‣‣ 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝗮

What pretentious jack*ss wrote the review quoted on this cover? lol
Dead Souls by Nikolai Gogol. Apparently. Not that I remember it much. But it had some funny moments now that I think about it. The MC going around purchasing dead people was weird and sometimes hilarious, especially when he had to haggle with the old lady.

It's that real attack on democracy I've been talking about for years. If one side claims you can only be a good person if you vote for them, that means they don't actually believe in democracy.
Every invocation of "universal love" is always invoked to legitimize a very particular form of hatred. The Left does this thing where it denies the existence of its own ideology as being political at all. It's just "love". It's just morality-as-politics, or simply "being a good

Because that's soooooo much better! lol
The one on the right is another example. The author doesn't dispute that being fat is bad for you. The point of this article is to pitch her book, which argues that reducing obesity requires government intervention. https://t.co/k1Nwf4XBQw

The Andromeda Strain by Michael Crichton. I’ve been wanting to read this book for a long time & I’m sorry to say that it was just okay. The fact that they don’t actually solve the issue of the strain but that it just becomes less dangerous is realistic but also not great fiction.

Black House by Stephen King and Peter Straub. This is a sequel to The Talisman. It wasn’t as good as that novel. Jack turned into a weird adult, which is expected, but weird in a way I didn’t expect.

Ralestone Luck by Andre Norton. Oddly not sci-fi as I was expecting given the author. More like a Heyer novel. That threw me off, but I mostly thought it was enjoyable.
