The top 1% aren’t stupid enough to earn money from basic income. It’s through stock options and bonuses that are kept in markets and they used as debt leverage to avoid taxes.
This fact doesn’t get enough attention. The top 1% don’t pay their fair share of taxes. The top 15% of earners in this country are ones that get pasted with taxes and “carry the water” for the US.
