Many asian homes have MCBs only — but adding RCDs improves safety drastically. Using the right breaker:. 🛑 Prevents fire from overloads. ⚡ Prevents fatal shocks. 🔌 Protects expensive equipment like inverters or motors.

prevents electric shock. Homes/Clinics (small circuits): Use MCBs for lighting & sockets. Solar Inverters/Industrial Pumps: Use MCCBs for higher loads like 5kW or 110kW systems. For Life Safety: Use RCDs in bathrooms, kitchens, hospitals — anywhere there's a risk of shock.

The inverter’s neutral is grounded at the distribution board. All equipment frames (panels, inverters, battery racks) are bonded together with a grounding wire, and then earthed.

Earthing = Direct connection to soil/ground (for safety). Grounding = Electrical system reference to ground. Bonding = Linking metals together to avoid voltage difference. The metal frame of solar panels is earthed to the ground rod.

Groundingconnecting the electrical system (like the neutral point) to the groundto stabilize system voltage and provide a reference point. Bondingconnecting all metallic parts together to ensure all exposed parts have the same potential (no shock risk).

This keeps the incentive for owners to conserve energy. Advantages of this solution:.- Much lower investment compared to individual systems. - Diversification factor maximizes the benefit for each flat.

A central solar power plant for the building. 55KW solar panels, 45KW hybrid inverters and 96KWh lithium batteries. Kept the option of using generator if the batteries run down or load exceeds 45KW. Kept the billing for diesel through the kWh meters.
