Entire platform went down for 30 minutes. Root cause? Someone updated a security group rule in the console "just to test something quick." - No Terraform tracking - No change request - No rollback plan - Blocked all traffic to RDS The fix took 10 minutes. The detection took 20

Chose ECS over Kubernetes to avoid complexity. What we gained: - Simpler deployments - Faster onboarding - Less yaml hell - Lower learning curve What we lost: - Advanced scheduling - Rich ecosystem - Community resources - Resume keywords 2 years later, still on ECS. Still

Production went down. Load balancer health checks failing. All instances marked unhealthy. SSH'd into an instance: - App: running - CPU: 5% - Memory: 40% - Disk: 15% - Network: fine Manually hit health endpoint: curl localhost/health {"status": "ok"} Worked perfectly. Checked

Stopped using Zomato/Swiggy. Now I just call my regular spots, they pack the food & I send Uber/Rapido to pick it up. Even after β‚Ή50–100 delivery cost, it’s still cheaper than ordering on apps (thanks to their markups, platform fee, commissions). Net profitable βœ…
