Welcome to “Fighter/Bomber Friday” Today’s fighter is the the Ilyushin IL-20 ground attack aircraft. The forward cockpit provided battlefield awareness for the pilot. Although the aircraft was headlight armored it was slower than the IL-10 and less armament.

Today is the Soviet 2T7M transporter and loading vehicle. Designed off a Zil-131 chassis, the purpose of this vehicle is to transport and load a new set of 3M9 missiles for the 2P25 TEL launch vehicle. During transportation the 2T7M missiles would be covered by a canvas.

Today is the South African Ratel 90 FSV. This variant was produced with a French 90mm Denel GT-2 cannon off of a Eland 90 to provide greater firepower to its troop compliment. It's greatest attribute is its mine resistant hull which influenced wheeled APC designs in the future.

Today is the German 5cm KwK 38 L/42 auf Infanterie Pz.Kpfw. MK.II 748(e) “Oswald”. This a captured Matilda III with its turret removed and a 5cm cannon to replace it. The intention was more for training on British vehicles rather than a combat modification.

Today’s “Odd Tank” is 🇦🇺 Australia’s ‘AC E1’ Built during WW2 the AC E1 was a test vehicle for the AC4. The tank was armed with a pair of 25-pounder guns to simulate the recoil force of the 17-Pounder which was going to be installed in the final AC4 model.

Today is the German *inhale* 15 cm Schweres Infanteriegeschütz 33/2 Selbstfahrlafette auf Jagdpanzer 38(t). Based on the Jagdpanzer 38(t) chassis, it mounted a 15cm sIG 33 howitzer and could hold 15 rnds with a crew of 4. Allegedly 30 were made but this may be the only vehicle.
