Heute bei der Lektüre der FAZ erschrocken über eine Todesanzeige. Ein Juristenkollege von mir ist gestorben, er war gerade mal 60 Jahre alt. Noch vor wenigen Wochen hatte ich ihn in der Staatsbibliothek gesehen. Ich kannte ihn seit 2001 aus der Alumni-Gruppe der Studienstiftung.

this is what always disturbed me when reading the Bible... How can YHWH be Jesus' Father, the Almighty? Not possible, does not make sense
YHWH commands Israel to utterly destroy the Amalekites—men, women, children, infants, animals—no mercy (1 Sam 15:3). Jesus teaches: "Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you" (Evangelion; cf. Luke 6:27). YHWH demands genocide; the Father demands universal love.
