This is, for me, the most fundamental problem with the Cass review. It starts with a preconceived, transphobic notion that transition is a terrible epidemic. Transitioning is a wonderful, beautiful, and joyful process, and there is no reason to institutionally decry it like this.
A great bit in Cass. "Most young people who take puberty blockers turn out to be trans. This means they aren't properly thinking about if they are trans."

Data on trans healthcare is indeed still limited. But using the impossibility of blind studies on hormones as an excuse to discard 98% of research, while making biological-essentialist claims without citation, is madness. The Cass report is prejudiced and should be ignored.
TLDR of the Cass Review:
"we disregarded nearly all studies because they weren't double blinded controlled studies. We also stopped reviewing newer studies released in the last two years. As a result, we were left with very little evidence."
This is an impossible standard.

Something really scary about the gender critical movement is their wider rejection of the individual rights and autonomy of young people. They completely lack respect for younger generations and demand state intervention to take aways freedom under-25s. Such a slippery slope
You can't ban trans people from acquiring hormones but you can ban safe routes to access hormones.

I grew up with seven siblings and we got by with the help of child benefits. I understand concerns, but the policy should be compassionate and evidence-based; rigorous research is clear: the two-child cap is counter-productive and creates child poverty>>>
