If you're trolling, cool. If you're serious I would urge you stop diluting the meaning of this term by calling everything you disagree with antisemitic. All this does is get people to no longer take actual instances of antisemitism seriously.
“Palestine” 🇵🇸 is the only country in the world that has a name with a letter that doesn't exist in its alphabet. There is no “P” in Arabic.
The name “Palestine” comes from Philistines and Roman province of Judea-Palestina, nothing to do with today's “Palestinians”.
When speaking to my friend Mohammed who's currently in Gaza, he seemed genuinely surprised by the fact that civilians were targeted in Hamas' attacks on Israel. Gazan media is supposedly reporting that only soldiers were killed in the attack.
He went on to share that he thinks…
This week nearly 700 Jewish & Palestinians citizens of Israel met at Ahmadiyya Mosque in Haifa to tell the rest of the country and the world that “we can thrive together”.

There are not many commentators today making an effort to show a balanced perspective on Israel-Palestine,
@KimIversenShow
is among those few.
It was a great pleasure being on her show.
In 2016 I did a social experiment. I went to East Jerusalem with a sign saying, I'm a Jew and I love you, if you love me back, give me a hug. I blindfolded myself and people told me I would die if I did this...we didn't have security...I ended up getting hugs." -
@AdarWeinreb
This week nearly 40 Israelis & Palestinians came together to clean the land. It's our love over the same land that causes us to fight but yet our love for the land is also something we have in common. Cleaning the land together is such a simple & powerful act of peacemaking.

This report came out today meaning you made a claim without having proper evidence. You don’t get credit for occasionally guessing right.

The idea that Oct. 7th is the expected result of the conditions in Gaza seems to be a form of bigotry of low expectations. There are many ways to resist an enemy that doesn't involve massacring civilians.
@Aella_Girl
The term "indigenous" is defined quite broadly so both Israelis & Palestinians can claim to be indigenous depending on which definition is used.
Jews are indigenous because our people, culture, religion and language came from the land. Palestinians are indigenous in the sense…
This is hard to watch but this reality must be known. If a Palestinian had hit an Israeli like that they would be detained instantly. We have two completely different sets of standards in the West Bank. When people call Israel an apartheid this is the reality they're describing.
@soulkhan
It's not your fault that Google translate gave you the wrong idea, it's your fault for not correcting your mistake once understanding you made one.
This is one of the major problems in "activism" today. Clicks over truth.
My 23andMe results were just updated. Turns out I'm not 99.1% Ashkenazi as they initially showed, I'm 99.7%.
Grandma, two more servings of kugel, please!
I'm honored to have been invited by the Israel-Palestine Peace Forum to moderate a six-person debate tomorrow in Jerusalem.
The topic: "Is Religion an Obstacle to Peace?"
In addition to the debate, the conference will include lectures, QA sessions, music, mingling & more.
Let's be honest,
@thenation
bringing on Mohammed El-Kurd (
@m7mdkurd
) as their Palestine correspondent is equivalent to them bringing on a Kahanist as their Israel correspondent.
This is not the voice Palestinians need and deserve.
The possibilities as I see them are...
1. He's not being honest
2. He relies primarily on Gazan media for news. Unclear how many Gazans get their news from Legacy Media vs Social Media.
3. Anyone who is an adult is considered a soldier in their eyes, as they've likely served.…
Those who delegitimize Palestinian identity and those who delegitimize Israeli identity may hate each other but ironically are very much the same.
Their activism achieves nothing more than offending people & fuelling similar rhetoric from the other side.
Yemen just declared war on Israel. Many people are praising them for doing so. These same people will be the loudest voices condemning Israel when Yemen gets bombed.
This week's mob violence has exposed a deep vulnerability within Israeli society, one that needs to be seriously addressed. With that, we must not forget that there's another side of Israel. Today Jewish and Arab Israelis gathered across Israel to call for an end to violence.
@emilykschrader
This is a very ungracious interpretation of what she's saying. She's saying instead of sending money to Israel let's invest it in America. That's not the same as blaming Jews on homelessness.

I normally disagree with her but don't mind that because it's ok for people to disagree. But with this she's potentially contributing to people dying. It's disgusting and will forever taint her reputation.
Israeli soldier takes official approval from the competent authorities in the IDF to blow up an entire building in Gaza in order to give it as a "birthday gift" to his two-year-old daughter.
"This bombing is a gift to my daughter, Princess Ella, who is two years old."
Ironically the normalization of this rhetoric only strengthens Zionism and harms Palestinian national aspirations. Palestinians need & deserve better activists.
Your credibility when defending Israel is dependent on your ability to criticize her. When all you do is defend, the only people listening are those who already agree with you. The goal of one's advocacy should be to change minds not get praise from those who already agree.
@Partisangirl
Since I don’t know the details I won’t comment on the actual incident. I just came here to point out that there is Hamas in the West Bank and Syrian Girl either is lying again or just doesn’t know what she’s talking about.
If you genuinely care about Palestinians, you should support their right to self-determination but condemn their violence.
What have Palestinians achieved through violence aside from being killed, losing land, and experiencing worsened living conditions?
I've been back in Israel a few days now and the general sentiment is "What can we do at this point? We have to defeat Hamas. We can't keep living like this."
People aren't happy about the war. They're sad, tired and traumatized. They genuinely don't see any other option.
It seems that many r upset that we're having
@normfinkelstein
on the show so let me be clear.
Sulha is an anti-echo-chamber platform, we host a wide variety of different opinions & we challenge ideas we disagree with. This is who we are and no amount of backlash will change that.
If you care about the Palestinian cause (which is noble) it's important to ground your activism in reality. Attempts to dismantle the state of Israel and displace the Jews living there will only lead to more violence.
Work to transform Israel, rather than dismantle her.
Morocco wildly exceeded my expectations.
Beautiful Moroccan architecture, excellent prices, good food and easily some of the nicest people I’ve ever met.
I felt very safe there and, quite to my surprise, almost everyone was extremely excited to discover I’m Israeli.
Jennine had every right to walk out but I'd like to share a different approach. Here's an antisemite who cut my hair on three occasions while I was spending some time in Moscow. Him being an antisemite didn't stop me from going, in fact, it's the reason I returned.
Local Arab villages set up food & drink stations for Mount Meron survivors while hundreds in Tel Aviv line up to donate blood. Jewish, Muslim, Christian, and Druze, secular and religious, our potential as a nation revealed in our darkest moments.
Today in Gaza, a hospital was hit, leaving over 500 civilians dead.
It's still unclear whether this was a result of an Israeli airstrike or if Hamas misfired a rocket.
Those who are pro-Israel are positive, it's Hamas' fault.
Those who are pro-Palestine are sure Israel is to…
The evidence that these 6 Palestinian human rights groups have links to terrorism? "It's classified"
Instead of encouraging Palestinians towards means of non-violent resistance, we classify all forms of resistance as terrorism.
Mom, I'm famous!
The interesting thing is, I've put out nearly 100 hours of video content and have never said a positive word about PFLP. In fact, I don't think I've ever even spoken about them.
I've had countless takes that can legitimately be challenged, why make stuff up?
The best way to improve the lives of Palestinians is to ensure Jewish safety.
Jewish insecurity comes at the cost of Palestinian freedom.
Whether it’s the siege on Gaza, the occupation of the West Bank or an unwillingness for a binational state - all of these are seen by most…
It’s sad to see how many Jews are minimizing and outright denying the suffering going on in Gaza.
Knowing what we’ve been through and how many people still deny it you’d hope we’d know better than to do this to others.
Some people's version of "justice" includes inflicting immense harm on another group of people. This is all justified by dehumanizing that group as nothing more than colonizers. Palestinians direly need to distance themselves from this type of zero-sum, winner-take-all thinking.
Henry Kissinger was a towering intellect, diplomat and practitioner who - not without controversy - helped shape American foreign policy with a lasting impact worldwide. A refugee from Nazi Germany, and the first Jewish Secretary of State, he was unapologetic about his heritage…
And yes it's true we don't have the full story here but what can 100% be guaranteed is that the Palestinian did not lift a finger against the settler, for if he did he would be detained.
We have been working hard for many months for this very moment- the moment when we have the privilege to release what we believe has the potential to transform the entire blockchain ecosystem. I am thrilled to announce that DAPP Network is now live!
I am a Palestinian who doesn’t celebrate Hamas actions. It’s personal, it’s my Jewish friends hurt. I am terrified for my family & friends in Gaza & West Bank. This US vs. THEM paradigm is wrong. This isn’t Arabs vs. Jews. Many of us on the same side of justice & peace.
Yesterday I shared a Tweet demonstrating the system of inequality in the West Bank. I was pleasantly surprised that the majority of people who liked that tweet were actually Jewish supporters of Israel.
I never said it was apartheid I said "this is what people mean when they say Apartheid". Pro-Israel activist's inclination to get caught up in semantic arguments to negate moral claims is one of the reasons we get destroyed in PR.
@AdarWeinreb
This is ugly but it's not Apartheid. The Israeli solider is ALSO protecting the Pali. He calls for backup and pushes the Israelis away. He is not a UN soldier. He is there to defend Israeli citizens. Pals are citizens of the PA and not ISR
But yes that settler should be detained
That familiar feeling. The one I wish I’d never feel again. Another war right around the corner. The senseless loss of lives. Both sides pointing fingers yet no one taking responsibility. I know we can do better, I know we can be better.
