I think my railway carriage roof has at least crossed the line from a mess into something that may work out. Even a flat clear varnish will help I suspect as well as perhaps a few spots of rust etc…painting things this large is quite tricky…

Found one in the U.K. and placed my order…👍😊

After four years and nearly 90 kits I am less & less inclined to build military subjects…recently I have been building stuff with more colour, varying shapes/designs & signage…I will build out the military in my stash for sure but the ‘mental’ shift has definitely happened…👍.

Some of my favourite recent builds that have a splash of colour about them…not much weathering going on here really but we are allowed to do as we please in that respect methinks…

Just a corollary (I think?) to @milmodelscene last posted review…I have the Tank book, not read it yet, but the two books by Mark Urban that I have read were both absolutely brilliant…I mean top of their class as far as I’m concerned…👍😊

Sticking to my efforts at posting colour coordinated groups of builds I thought I would try ‘grey’…however it turns out I have very few and they are all pretty old…ho hum…here’s some old grey ‘stuff’…🤷‍♂️😊

It’ll probably take a couple of days to sort this roof out…especially as it’s in six parts…fill, clean up, fill, clean up repeat…then paint, sand, fill, paint, sand, fill etc…I really enjoy this as long as it works in the end…👍😊

I hate it when I decide to take the plunge on a kit and quickly find that it’s not easily available. Nevertheless I’ve signed up to a wait list for this looker…🙄😊…

So yesterday I posted some older ‘green’ models…here are some older DAK ones…all kind of approached differently but that’s what makes building them so much fun I reckon…🤷‍♂️😊

I’ve convinced myself that these five (yup just five 🙄) parts will now fit together, however the ends aren’t glued in place yet as I need them off to access the inside easily. Feels like a lot of hours for five bits of plastic…🤷‍♂️😊.

WW2 history books? Maybe 30 years ago these were mostly written by ‘known’ academics or perhaps ‘old soldiers’. Now so many seem to be based on a PhD or personal & enthusiast ‘amateur’ research…were the former generally any better than the latter? Please don’t shout at me. 😊.

Some bits & bobs in green that some folks might not of seen before…my habit for more colourful subjects is relatively new…it’s also odd how sometimes I want to weather a kit and sometimes I just don’t 🤔🤷‍♂️😊

Oh Gawd…🤔🫣…I think I am reaching peak ‘tricky’ about now or in a day or so at least…these big kits (essentially massive boxes) always reach this point at which they sometimes just fit and sometimes just don’t…I have made the odds worse by mucking about with the flooring🤞🙄
