STEM club pupils at Salterhebble Junior and Infant School enjoyed making these working magic 8 balls! They constructed the balls using @strawbees and then coded the micro:bits to randomly display different responses when shaken. @microbit_edu #STEM

When Copley Primary pupils made Sierpiński pyramids with @strawbees, someone asked a great question: is it possible to make fractal pyramids using different triangles? They explored isosceles and scalene triangles and continued to apply their understanding of fractals. #STEM

When I realised how many Launchpad STEM Camp students shared a love of music, we introduced them to the famous @makeymakey piano and challenged them to go further! They created new instruments and used Scratch to code real sounds for each key. #STEM

We’re in! Delighted to be part of the inaugural Holmfirth SOUP night! One of the four projects will walk away with the funding raised on the door to support their community efforts. We have big plans to unleash the creativity of every child in the Holme Valley! Wish us luck!

Chefchaouen in Morocco was the perfect setting for a business retreat! Not only was it a brilliant way to work on Launchpad STEM, but a lovely way to travel too. Thanks to everyone involved for making it so fun, collaborative and inspiring!

My first business retreat! I’m heading to Chefchaouen in Morocco to work on the growth and sustainability of Launchpad STEM - working ON my business, not IN it. I’ll be working with the other participants under the expert guidance of Syd Femtinos. It’s going to be amazing!

I enjoyed a gorgeous birthday weekend in Zurich, Switzerland. In true Swiss style, I ate a dangerous amount of chocolate and cheese!

Taking the famous @makeymakey piano to a whole other level with Scratch, @Makedo and other materials. We had keyboards, guitars, drum kits and more! They used Scratch to find the sounds and assign them to different keys. As one mum said, “The kids were HYPED!” #STEM #EdTech
