People under-value things that compound: Networks, trust and curiosity. People over-value isolated achievements: Status, Trophies, university acceptances.

My observation about the industry of science as I've met more and more Bio founders is that one of the larger Academic problems is that they forced brilliant minds to go narrow rather than multidisciplinary. All the greatest scientists had knowledge of other curiosities.
