The Robert Morris men’s basketball staff offered a high school conference Player of the Year winner last week. The 6-foot-8 forward prospect currently holds offers from two other Horizon League schools: Youngstown State and Detroit Mercy.

Robert Morris DT Jaden Thompson has journeyed from JUCO to Division-II and now to the Division-I level but it was not all smooth sailing. A blood clot and an issue with a former coach helped reform Thompson as he now looks to tackle his new opportunity.

Former Robert Morris DB Rob Carter Jr. continues to make a name for himself as he marked off a big milestone on Saturday. Carter is currently in his rookie season with the BC Lions of the CFL and he just tallied his first career interception on Saturday.

Robert Morris added an intruiging QB this week as former Central Valley star Ameer Dudley Jr. committed to RMU. Dudley, an Ivy League grad, returns to the area as he wanted a chance to return to his “natural position” after mainly playing DB at Harvard.

The Robert Morris men’s basketball program pulled off some more Horizon-on-Horizon crime this week as they hired former IU Indy assistant coach Keith Oddo to the staff. RMU signed former IU Indy forward DeSean Goode earlier this offseason.

The Robert Morris football program picked up four commitments from transfers over the weekend. The Colonials added a couple of offensive playmakers and an intriguing defensive end who recorded 9.5 sacks at the JUCO level last year.

Former Robert Morris guard Josh Omojafo has made his decision as to where he will play college basketball next season. Omojafo is the third starter from RMU's Horizon League Championship team to find a new home as he is now headed off to an AAC program.

Class of 2026 G Josh Jackson (Houston County HS, GA) committed to Robert Morris on Tuesday, according to his IG. Jackson just wrapped up a First-Team All-Region junior season as he averaged 12.0 points, 2.0 assists and 1.6 rebounds across 28 games.

Even though the first game of the season is less than 100 days away, the Robert Morris FB team is still making additions to the roster. Over the weekend, RMU added a transfer safety who spent his first two years of college playing for a MAC program.

Wake Forest transfer LB Eldrick Robinson II visited Robert Morris on Friday, sources confirmed. After losing both of its All-Conference LBs this offseason, RMU wants to add the veteran defender to replace the outgoing leadership and production.

The staff at Robert Morris continued to dish out offers to high school talent as their latest offer went to WPA Bruins center Kendall Hulsman. Hulsman averaged 20.8 points, 16.5 rebounds and 6.1 blocks per game for Iroquois High School last season.

Former Robert Morris guard D.J. Smith committed to Campbell on Tuesday. Smith was previously committed to Mercer but will now lead Campbell's backcourt as they try to improve on their fifth-place CAA finish from a season ago.

The Robert Morris football season will kick off at 2 p.m. on August 30 against West Virginia at Milan Puskar Stadium. This will be the first time that the two programs ever met on the football field.

Former Robert Morris guard Justice Williams committed to a MAC program on Thursday after missing the entire 2024-25 season due to injury. Williams, a former four-star, averaged 12.3 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists in his lone active season at RMU.
