Sue Edwards, former state director for the Texas Academic Decathlon, passed away at her home surrounded by friends and family on Monday, October 13, 2025. Under Sue's guidance, the Decathlon continued to grow the small school participation. Ms. Sue, thanks for the memories.

Today we celebrate Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald, a distant cousin of the Star Spangled Banner author. We are exxcited to spend the year studying his classic 1920s novel. His success was not a straight line. At Princeton, he was on academic probation so often he never graduated.
