Schemes for visually impaired people have been some of the least successful. In a state with over 7.5 lakh visually impaired people, only 557 people got grants under the Corrective Surgery Treatment Grant of the Uttar Pradesh government.

Programmes linked to children with disabilities have also been poorly managed by the state. Uttar Pradesh is home to the highest number of children with disabilities. More than a fifth of the country’s children with disabilities are from Uttar Pradesh.

✅ Not all companies have fared equally well. While HDFC Bank fared good on the RTWR metric, it reported a lower retention rate (RR) of 73% in FY24. The RR stood at 48% in FY23. ✅ IT major Infosys reported a RTWR of 99% for women in FY24, but its retention rate is lower at 74%.
