No, Red Hill Road needs to literally get rid of ALL rumble strips and BAN tuk tuks. Who the fvck is allowing dozens of low-speed vehicles (sometimes without lights) on a high-speed highway??! Reality is that it's not "that" curvy of a road and it's fine as intended as a
Earlier today, an accident on the Redhill Link Road next to Kitisuru exit (ABC Place outbound) claimed the lives of 2 young boys aged 18/20. Several accidents at the same place have ended tragically. Unfortunately, bumps (not rumble strips) the entire stretch are the solution.

We build more lanes then add choke points. Case in point: Waiyaki Way
@Kalasinga_ In 2021, a South African biker friend and I rode our motorcycles from Mzansi to Kenya. Once we crossed into Kenya he was astonished at the enormous numbers of speed humps. He was particularly shocked to see humps on highways. It’s a uniquely East African phenomenon.

Like, the most unique thing about Kenyan roads is unmarked bumps! Overlander 1: I'm going to Kenya! What should I watch out for on their roads? Overlander 2 who has been here before: Oh Man! The unmarked bumps and massive rumble strips. What a reputation!

Their objective isn't safety, it's performative at best and hides the real agenda of revenue collection or theft depending on which side you look at it from
You'd need to urgently move away from this inefficient, selective, human-mediated enforcement. Embrace modernity. Deploy a national camera-and-sensor network on major highways, urban junctions, known black spots. Invest in AI-powered cameras (speed, red light, lane discipline).

We don't want more reports, just actions. How many driving licenses have you revoked? How many cars have been grounded? What enforcement measures are you implementing?

Meanwhile, according to @grok, "the Kenya Affordable Housing Programme in Mukuru Kwa Njenga is real, with Phase 1 (1,080 units) handed over in May 2025 and more in Dec 2025, aiming for 13,248 by 2026. Rent-to-own 2-bed units cost ~KSh 5,000-6,000/month, aligning with the story's

The same people demanding good governance and claiming to be made of nothing but strong moral fibre. Notice how they are so aggressive and how the matatu blocks that motorist that has the right of way, on the right.

Navigating roundabouts in Nairobi has always been a nightmarish experience for any sane, conscientious motorist, but I think it gets worse as more people join the circle of motoring. Can't believe how Kenyans approach these circles with such aggression, sheer malevolence.

The 2025 highlight was crisscrossing through Zimbabwe. This year we shall be storming two lusophone countries: Mozambique and Angola.

His family is living there for four months. This I have now personally confirmed. He pays 900 shillings for cooking gas, which is delivered directly to his apartment via an automatic reticulation system.

Just met a taxi driver on Faras app. What he told me astounded me. He was living in a tinfoil shack in Mukuru kwa Njenga. He was given 60,000 KES by GoK and asked to look for alternative accommodation as the affordable housing units were being constructed. Today, as he narrated
